On Sept. 18^th, 2010 The Chicago Chapter, N.R.H.S. will host a trip to the Monticello Railway Museum in Monticello, Illinois.  We will depart at 8:00AM from the Countryside city hall parking lot, arriving at the museum by 11:00 AM.  We will be going by way of motorcoach, with video screens, air conditioning, and a bathroom on board. 

We will visit the museum during their annual Railroad Days, featuring frequent excursions on their fleet of vintage and restored passenger cars pulled by restored diesel engines.  Also on the schedule is steam up of steam engine ex-Southern RR 401.

We plan to be at the museum from 11:00 until 3:00 P.M.  Lunch will be on your own, food will be available for sale, and there is a picnic area.  We will depart the museum at 3:00 PM and arrive back at Countryside at 6:00 PM.

The price is $65.00 per person, adults and children.
